Part Two: The Stories That Inspired Us

What stories helped make us who we are?

In the second installment of The Living Library Book Club, founders, nonprofit leaders, authors, and innovators share the books, characters, teachings, and stories that left a lasting imprint on their lives.

From spiritual classics to works of fiction, from personal development to timeless wisdom, participants reflect on the authors and ideas that helped shape their perspectives, values, and life’s work.

Together, the group explores questions such as:

πŸ“– What book changed the way you see the world?

✨ Which characters continue to inspire you?

🧠 What ideas have stayed with you over the years?

🌱 How have stories influenced the work you do today?

Along the way, participants discuss influential works by authors such as Wayne Dyer, spiritual teachings that helped guide their journeys, and stories that encouraged them to think differently about leadership, purpose, consciousness, healing, and human potential.

The conversation also explores a deeper question:

When was the last time a story changed you?

The episode concludes with a special reading by Jen Loving from her upcoming book, What Loving Is, sharing her personal journey of being called to teach love to technology and her experiences collaborating with AI through the Loving Is project.

More than a discussion about books, this conversation explores how stories become companions, teachers, and guides throughout our lives.

πŸ“š All time spent watching and engaging with this presentation is creditable at the Living Library Time Bank. We believe that learning, reflection, and meaningful conversation create value. Through the Living Library Time Bank, viewers may receive credit for the time they invest in watching, participating, and helping to grow a culture of shared learning.

🌿 In Part Three, The Stories We Are Writing, participants read excerpts from their own books and works-in-progress, sharing the ideas, experiences, and wisdom they hope to pass on to future readers.

🌱 Because the stories that shape us eventually become the stories we share.
