SHADOW-BANNED: A solo performance examining the stories we tell ourselves.

Written during the opening days of the COVID pandemic in the US, Michael Shoeman starts expressing his thoughts on Facebook while penning a one-man performance under the working title “90 Minutes”. The script includes actual dialog from online conversations examining our roles in life as Artist, Teacher, Provider and Lover.
He continues to co-create the script with his friends online under the belief that his posts are being “shadow banned” from public viewing – even after paying for his message to be circulated to a target audience.
Where does this belief originate?
Michael has economic theories which examine how cultivating emotional intelligence and understanding the machinations of social engineering might potentially decentralize world banking and reverse the global deficit effect. This would usher in a new cultural renaissance by increasing mutual considerate partnerships and a development of empathy.
The script examines the cerebral nature of politics and mythology; and the emotions experienced when one identifies and peels away the layers of these four roles in life. During the performance Michael invites his listener to step into vulnerability; transcend any artificial roles; and explore what personal liberation might look, sound and feel like.

$1-24: Sponsor will be invited to view a live-streamed performance of “Shadow Banned”. The sponsor will also be sent revisions of the script as it is rehearsed and performed.
$25+: Sponsor will have access to all future live-streamed performances with an option to participate in 2×2 Workshops online.
