Living Library, Episode 21
Sometimes trauma shows up in the unexpected. In this installment, Nini Castle and Mike Shoeman discuss the spiritual and political aspects of trauma. The purpose is to normalize conversations about what society encourages us to reject — such as past life or pre-life memories.
The Trauma Sensitive Leadership Series is a new branch of the Living Library Series. Our mission is to open up conversations about mental health, spirituality and politics from a trauma-informed perspective. We hope to bridge the gap in misunderstandings by asking “What happened to you?” instead of asking “What is wrong with you?”
The Living Library Series was inspired by the Human Library concept originating in Denmark. The purpose of these conversations is to honor diversity, equality and inclusivity in the spirit of “not judging a book by its cover”. All hours spent viewing The Living Library conversations may be redeemed as an “Hour Served” at the Karmic Margin Call Project Time Bank.
