WHY STEWARDSHIP MATTERS: CIRCLE OF MIRACLES AND THE ROLE OF INTERSPIRITUAL COMMUNITY
Why Stewardship Matters…
“To me ‘stewardship’ means protecting what matters most. And what matters most to me is cultivating safe environments for honest expression and taking a candid look at how we treat each other.”
Michael Shoeman was recently asked to consider running for Board President at Circle of Miracles, an interspiritual ministry located in New Britain, Pennsylvania.
“My first response was that the Stewards and membership might not want me in a leadership position if given the space to fully lay out my ministry mission. For the next four years I will be focused on observing Natural Law, as Jesus might have taught it, as a catalyst for creating Universal Basic Income. This naturally disrupts a system where there is big profit in war and social engineering. This might invite a contentiousness and too much discomfort and that the Circle Stewards are willing to take on.”
Michael made this video “Why Stewardship Matters” to open up lines of communication between the Circle of Miracles leadership and their members as well as for individuals considering partnering with Circle of Miracles.
“Our mission is to be ‘a loving community where we nurture and express the unfolding of spirituality in service to the world’,” Michael says. “In order to be of service to the world, we must not look past our own community. In a world ridden of political chaos and confusion, it no longer makes sense to evangelize a person, group or ideology. What the global community needs now is UBI. The observance of Natural Law provides the practical methods toward that service, first to the community and then eventually out to the world, without getting hung up on indoctrination or evangelization.”
Michael’s call to the Circle of Miracles community is to consider becoming a Steward and engage in the deeper conversations. “If this mission does serve as the catalyst for UBI, then we would certainly prove to be a Circle of ‘Miracles’.”
